Publishing New Voices

We publish books that voice the heart of a people as they chronicle stories of struggle and resistance.

Nurturing Important Stories

We aim to be a bridge to currently unavailable scholarly ideas, publishing stories that contribute to the creation of knowledge.

Launching New Authors

Our writers tell stories of everyday life within culturally affirming accounts offering self- and other-knowledge.

Conocimientos Press is proud to bring you Denise Chávez latest novel,

STREET OF TOO MANY STORIES

"Denise Chávez's new novel, Street of Too Many Stories, is an expansive yet richly intimate tale about the inhabitants of a New Mexican calle. Chávez embraces the losses, dreams, and secrets of the border, its peoples, and of the complex destinies set in motion by place. A sensory feast!"

With emphasis on the interstices of race, ethnicity, class, or gender, this press invites submissions from Chicana and Latina writers who narrate everyday life within culturally affirming accounts that focus on self- and other-knowledge.

Conocimientos Press places emphasis on those stories that voice the heart of their people, as they document stories of struggle and resistance. In our quest for community knowledge, we call for submissions from those who wish to share their stories. The press aims to provide access to scholarly ideas not available in books. Submit your manuscript. We look forward to working with you in the near future.

Conocimientos Press relies on a feminist and empowering review process with support and advise of those in the author’s field of study who review and affirm readiness for publication. A mentoring design guides each author in their publications.
